What is an Independent? The whole concept that machines can think and learn is a new one to most people. To most, the word “robot” connotes a mindless machine, a toy, or some hobbyist’s pet project. Equally foreign, the term “autonomous vehicle,” though correct, sounds like a mouthful of technical mumbo jumbo. In order to create comfort and understanding with the concept of intelligent robotics, we’d like to introduce a new word to the language, “Independent.” Unlike most robots, Independents are a new breed of machine that can think for themselves. Operating outside of human supervision, Independents need no external control or guidance. Functioning day or night and in harsh conditions, tirelessly performing a multitude of tasks, all without human assistance, these robots allow you to be more independent as well. We think this technology is new and exciting and deserves its name. “Independent” is a word most of us can relate to. Please welcome this new machine.
